Thoughts

My first K-Pop album, after watching BTS doing a spot of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. I’ve been aware of these guys, obviously, but they’ve never really sparked an interest until now. I really quite enjoyed this album, although it is far too long and took a while to get through the second time round.

I thought it would be straight up boyband pop, which is no bad thing obviously, but it was more than that. They’ve got some art and some hidden talents you wouldn’t necessarily expect. The only downside to the album, aside from its length, is that as they dip in and out of English it feels a little Eurovision at times.

But I enjoyed it and I’m now more interested in this so-called K-Pop revolution.
