Adrian Mole is an adult. At least that's what it says on his passport. But living at home, clinging to his threadbare cuddly rabbit 'Pinky', working as a paper pusher for the DoE and pining for the love of his life, Pandora, has proved to him that adulthood isn't quite what he expected. Still, without the slings and arrows of modern life what else would an intellectual poet have to write about...

Thoughts

Hmm, didn’t enjoy this as much as the previous works as it’s clearly taking a different direction. It’s much more a random collection of thoughts, and not all of them from the always intriguing mind of Adrian Mole. I didn’t really get the Margaret stuff, but the Sue Townsend notes were okay - if still a little random.

The disappointment really was that the Adrian Mole notes were more sporadic and so you got to see less of the characters that we’ve grown to love and more of just Adrian harping on about stuff. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer to see him interacting with others, because his different nature is what makes it so interesting.
