Trailer Tuesday - Practically perfect in every way

The trailers
There seems to be a trend in Hollywood at the moment to delve behind the scenes and show exactly how other films are made. Along with Hitchcock, we now have a look at the magical world of Walt Disney, and an explanation of how Mary Poppins came to the screen. This trailer pretty much gives away the whole film but it looks really good. Apparently this is the first time Mr Disney himself has been portrayed on screen, and who better than Tom Hanks?
Film stuff
I thought I’d add some other bits and pieces about the film world that I have opinions on but aren’t necessarily at the trailer stage yet.
- Liam Neeson is in discussions for yet another sequel for Taken? Known as Taken 3, it would presumably be more of the same with Neeson running around and trying to get even with people who don’t like him. They tamed down the second one enormously so it wasn’t half as much fun. I can’t imagine what mileage there is for a third.
- Total Film did one of those ever-present countdowns, this time their top 50 films of 2012. Is it wrong that I’m super impressed we managed to see 17 of them? And another five are on our to-watch list. That’s pretty good!
- Also intrigued by this poster for Escape Plan, starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I’m not normally a fan of the big action hero reunion things (see: Expendables) but this looks interesting.
- There are also pictures from an upcoming film called American Hustle. I’m not a fan of the 70s style Bradley Cooper, but it’s fun to think of him and Jennifer Lawrence sharing screen time again.
