Thoughts

I really quite liked this album. It’s a strong pop offering, with Selena being her usual truthful, raw and honest self. I think, perhaps, there were no stand out tracks on the album, at no point did I think “this is a great song” but as a whole, I really enjoyed it.

I liked the last album, Revival, but did think there were a few too many adult moments in there. This time round, Selena seems to have shed the “adult” instead for “grown up” and I’m here for it.

Revisited - Feb 2020

Look, it’s only a few weeks since the album came out but I need to slightly tweak my opinion above. Whilst I am sticking with the thought that there are no stand out tracks, I have to admit that the album as a whole has absolutely grown on me.

It’s been one that I’ve opted to listen to a couple of times again, and every time I like it just that little bit more. So I’m upping the score from a 4 to a 5, because this may end up being a favourite.
