Thoughts

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this album. It came up in conversation after another of those Top of the Pops 90s conversations. I was boggled to hear Set Adrift on Memory Bliss which I know from the Backstreet Boys album track version… but that one doesn’t have quite such strong True sampling whereas this is clearly not so far removed from the Spandau Ballet song.

All that conversation led to picking this album this week, and even then it wasn’t easy. The Apple Music version had Set Adrift missing so I had to cobble together my own Frankenstein style playlist. Anyway, when I finally got it all together, the album was great. It’s hip hop but a more gentle style, not so much angst and anger but just skipping along nicely. I loved it!
