Thoughts

I don’t know why, when I listened to the first of my Elton John albums of this adventure, I didn’t go for the debut one. I’m usually all for going back to the beginning of the journey and seeing how it all started.

So, this time, that’s what I did, and I can’t believe how brilliant Elton was right from the start. Usually people take a while to warm up to their greatness. It absolutely boggles my mind that he gets given the lyrics and the songs just pop out - such a weird way of working but such good stuff comes out of it.

The only thing I didn’t like on this album was the weird little montage at the end… just a recap of all the songs I’ve already listened to? Why?
