Thoughts

The last album from Bastille was alright, but it annoyed me the volume of talky bits, radio excerpts, that kind of thing. I’m sure it was arty and important but it didn’t make for much fun listening. This one, thankfully is free of those things, and I actually really enjoyed it.

I read that they were calling it a concept album, documenting the journey of a night out starting in the evening and going through to the early hours (hence a song called 4AM). And you do get that sense from it. I think there isn’t a stand-out Pompeii style song but as a whole it works really well.
