0:22 I know it’s only just started but the big goggly eyes on the characters freak me out.
0:57 He has dark circles under his eyes like I do.
2:26 There are songs?
3:54 I like the big round man with a big round face is married to the tall lady with a long face.
6:29 Hehehe, and the butler has a snooty nose.
6:43 Who is this film aimed at? It’s a bizarre genre.
7:46 He has exceptionally long fingers which is good for playing piano.
11:07 That character even looks like Johnny Depp.
15:51 Ah, crows and stuff. That’s never good.
18:09 Does she have blue hair? I know someone with blue hair.
21:43 I am intrigued by the idea that these dancing skulls do not mind which body they are on.
23:40 That Lord Barkis reminds me of Steven Fry.
26:15 Scaling a wall like that is one good way of joining the dead people.
32:49 If they have to ask to be allowed to go upstairs to the real world, how did she manage to get out and about and chase him to be married?
35:08 - Gosh, she sews fast. Sewing in front of a roaring fire seems nice and cozy.
37:26 It’s always awkward when your eye falls out on your wedding night.
39:24 Singing insects. It’s a bit James & the Giant Peach now.
42:32 Is it just me that things bad things are bound to happen now just because it’s raining? Damn LOST.
48:18 I’ve finally realised what she reminds me of - those Persil Patch people.
1:00:48 Note to self. If the dead ever walk the earth, just say ‘grandpa’ to one of them, in a cute voice.
1:10:12 I would have thought some of the others would have been set free too. Like ‘grandpa’.

Thoughts

Nothing about this film appealed to me really, except perhaps the voice of a certain Johnny Depp. It was 99p Film of the Week, though, and as it was so beautifully short, I couldn’t really turn it down.

I was bemused for a lot of this film, but that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it. The style is so unusual that it was quite captivating and even though the story is bordering on ridiculous, and the characters are not even slightly sympathetic, it was short enough to keep my attention throughout.
