Time Comment
1:19 Ron Howard! I didn’t realise.
2:51 He’s a ray of sunshine at the dinner party.
4:21 “Get your arms around him and make him feel bubbly and warm.” That’s one way of describing a hug.
6:02 If anyone tricks me into hugging, they are no longer my friend.
8:20 Elbow bump! Is that the new fist?
11:52 Getting BACK to a good place? What happened?
13:53 Oh, Gamblers Anonymous reference. I like a backstory that isn’t rammed down your throat!
15:19 That’s Queen Latifah in a suit. Things you don’t see every day.
18:27 Is it good to be thought of as a mad scientist who won’t leave the lab for days? I can’t work out if that’s a compliment or not.
20:23 I don’t know what the red zone is.
28:43 That’s the same train they use on ER!
30:44 What is he actually trying to do? Get the noise, is that the hard part?
32:26 That’s the poshest bank ever.
39:57 Gawd, ice hockey is brutal.
42:30 That is a good point about him not knowing what goes on, but it’s not really a defence.
45:20 “Only 1% of the time do you kill innocent people.” Inspirational.
46:26 Was that The Sims? Awesome!
48:47 This whole film is just to prove his point that you never really know people, isn’t it?
53:23 Ooh, she’s evil. And she has an annoying voice.
58:24 Mr C loves movie references. I didn’t get any of them.
1:01:16 Who has a tree that leads right up to the window? Talk about an invitation to burglars.
1:06:21 Woah, he might have gone a bit mental.
1:10:26 “The Zip Bar & Grill, it’s a real dive, take it off the GPS.”
1:12:50 Now would be a great time to propose, or would that be stealing their thunder?
1:14:26 He’s gone, almost the opposite of a proposal.
1:17:48 As a former gambler, surely you can’t be offended of her being wary of Las Vegas.
1:20:14 A man pointing a gun says: “I googled this.” Love it.
1:24:18 Ooh, an intervention.
1:25:58 This is confusing.
1:37:55 I like it when they don’t have to actually ask the question. He didn’t get down on one knee or anything.
1:42:43 Kids in a car too long don’t usually knee each other in the stomach. Or do they?

Conclusions

Didn’t know anything about this film before we downloaded it, but the trailer seemed good enough and we’ve liked some of the stuff Vince Vaughn has done before.

Good and funny. Some moments made me crack up, and I was still laughing at that final scene at the Dodge office afterwards. I can’t pick anything specifically wrong, but it’s not quite a five. It might be Winona actually. I wasn’t fond of her at all. Although that’s probably the idea.
