4:46 | Was that actual CNN people? I like it when media do bits for film. |
6:14 | He didn’t even win Brooklyn? |

10:53 | She has no shoes on in the toilets. Not so good. |
13:17 | Who knew the tie was so important it needs a focus group? |
17:08 | He fell asleep! He missed the deadline! |
18:20 | He needs to get a taxi and yell: “Follow that bus!” That’s what they do in films. |
22:08 | How can you walk past ten people and not notice they are frozen? |
24:54 | I can’t believe they plan all of people’s lives out of a little book. |
26:56 | When the internet goes out, you’re being adjusted! |
28:11 | “Because it matters.” Are we going to find out why? |
31:39 | Can’t he just get on the bus over and over again? She’s bound to catch it another day. |

40:06 | They have great dialogue. |
41:27 | Showing the book over and over doesn’t help, unless they tell us how to read it. I can see a giant red dot, though. |
46:01 | It would help if they told him WHY. |
47:20 | This film is like one big stick it to the man metaphor. |

1:04:28 | I love this description, although, you’d think they might have stepped back in with Hitler. |
1:07:49 | Presumably they are not allowed to just kill, or they could have solved the problem a long time ago. |
1:09:53 | Do the right thing, David. |
1:13:54 | I’d so go for the Presidency. Mr C can be a dancer all he wants. |
1:16:52 | I think it’s selfish if he chases after her. He has all the facts and she has none. |
1:20:05 | Note #2: Always turn the doorknob clockwise. |
1:22:50 | Note #3: Assume everyone with a hat on is a threat. |
1:24:46 | She’s wearing a black dress. I should have got married in a black dress! |
1:28:15 | You couldn’t possibly believe him, he’s rambling like a madman. |
1:33:29 | Harry is in all sorts of trouble. |
1:37:54 | Made a new plan. Couldn’t he have just done that in the first place? |
Conclusions
I was excited to see this one when I first saw the trailer, and waited impatiently for it to appear on iTunes. It has Matt Damon, it has a fascinating story, and it looks very well made. It had better not disappoint.
I really enjoyed this film. The story is excellent, and any time I had a question it was usually answered in the next few minutes. I loved them together, witty dialogue and great chemistry. It seemed odd that they hit it off so immediately, but again, the film explained that too!
I didn’t particularly like the ending, it felt a bit weak, and it turns out they had rewritten and reshot it several months after finishing the rest. We may or may not have watched the end again to see how different Matt Damon looked.
Nevertheless, overall a great success, and I learnt lots of things like not trusting people in hats and the best way to open doors.
