Thoughts

A quick and easy read in terms of literature, but as a concept, surprisingly tough and moving. If you can get over the ever-so-slightly rushed beginning and the fact that the whole thing is highly unlikely, then the story is pretty captivating and I had to see how it all turned out.

The tough parts come when Lauren is questioning her place in the world, her family, what life is all about if you don’t know where you come from. I have no idea what she’s going through but can empathise that it’s a pretty painful world if you’re not sure who you can trust and turn to.

I quite enjoyed the book, it was devoured in a flash, and it’s probably a really good adventure for kids to read.
