Thoughts
This was an interesting Kinsey Millhone book, because it had two investigations in it. The main story focused on Millhone working for someone who was already dead, and that gave it a unique twist that was fascinating to follow. The second part was about a money-grabbing criminal who was affecting someone closer to Kinsey’s life.
It was nice to see the slightly softer side to Kinsey, and her interactions with Rosie to try and work out a defense, as well as Jonah who she clearly has a strong connection with. But it’s also nice to have a character who has control over herself and keeps her distance where required.
I am worried that Kinsey has been at the hands of a murderer on three occasions within just a few months. At this rate, how is she going to get to Z?
