How to know what to sow

This is 100% the wrong time of year to be sharing this link, but it’s something to bookmark for when the weather clears up again. We’re heading into autumn and the garden is starting to wind down a little… I mean, I can’t say it ever really got going for me this year but let’s go with it.

I love watching what Huw Richards is up to, as his book was what got me into vegetable gardening in the first place.

I’ve watched many of his excellent YouTube videos and followed some of the garden diaries, and now seen his switch to Substack as a way of sharing information. One of the new things being trialled is sow.today - a space on the internet to check what you can be putting in the ground at any one time. This is great because if you’re not following a big master plan and just want to pop into the garden and use up a bit of space, then you can check this and see what’s going to grow well at this time of year.

At the moment it’s all about undercover growing, as the weather cools, but there’s still stuff to be getting involved with so even though I started the post saying it was the wrong time of year for this, maybe it turns out there is no wrong time of year!
