I wasn’t expecting it, but the first couple of months of this year have seen a real uptick of movie watching in this household. There’s no rhyme or reason to it but suddenly the bug to watch ALL THE FILMS is back and that means keeping an eye on what’s upcoming actually feels like it has a purpose again, rather than just adding to an overlooked list.

April

• Monkey Man Dev Patel turns director in this action thriller that looks to be worthy of a watch.
• Challengers I love tennis and a sports movie but this doesn’t really look like it focuses on those elements and more of an intriguing love triangle.

May

• The Fall Guy This looks fun and interesting, and Ryan Gosling is everywhere at the moment so we’ll see!
• If I’m still not entirely clear what this is or what it’s about, but it’s a good cast and features two good guys - Krasinski and Reynolds.

June

• Bad Boys: Ride or Die This crept up on me, didn’t realise a sequel to the sequel was coming, and also apparently features Ioan Gruffudd so now I’m intrigued!
• Inside Out 2 June appears to be the month of sequels but we all have to admit this looks good. Can totally empathise with the new anxiety emotion.
