Knit bits - The fingerless gloves
Published October 22, 2023

The weather has definitely turned autumnal now, so it seemed like a good time to try out a knitting pattern for fingerless gloves. I’ve found a few different ones available online, but opted to go for this free pattern that looked relatively simple. It was back to the double pointed needles, and although it took me two attempts at the first glove, it actually was quite easy.
The thumb was the only tricky bit, as I’m still not 100% sure I understand what the pattern is trying to tell me, and I’m convinced that each of the thumbs on the glove is slightly different. But nevertheless, I finished them, I’ve worn them and they’re comfortable and warm, and I’ve also had in an order from a family member for a pair of their own. So I count that as a proper success.
(Also, yes, this is the same yarn as I made the socks with and yes, I really do need to invest in upping my yarn selection.)
