Trailer Tuesday - In a world...

The trailers
Seen three good trailers this week, the first of which is for The Monuments Men. This is George Clooney and Matt Damon sharing screen time again, which can only be a good thing. The film itself looks good, one of those that is entertaining if not perhaps completely historically accurate.
Next up another trailer for the second Thor film. More of the same, it looks like.
And finally an odd film called In a World… about a woman trying to break into the voiceover business. It looks surprisingly good, although has barely anyone I’ve heard of in it.
Film stuff
Other bits and pieces about the film world that I have opinions on but aren’t necessarily at the trailer stage yet.
- Didn’t mention this last week, but the idea of a Batman and Superman crossover film? I’m never convinced of these crossover things. Like Wired have said: the Man of Steel meets the Man of, er, bats?
- Interested to see that Universal are keen on doing another Bourne sequel. They can’t convince Matt Damon to come back, and haven’t confirmed Jeremy Renner either, so it could be all change again. The last one was okay, but it just didn’t feel like Bourne without actual Bourne in it.
- There’s a teaser trailer for the new Muppets Most Wanted film, a sequel of sorts to The Muppets. I liked the “first”, and although this seems as self-aware as always, it’s also a little bit manic for my tastes. More trailers needed, I think.
- We also saw a trailer for the film Her starring Joaquin Phoenix as a guy who appears to fall in love with his operating system. I find this really weird.
