Getting ready for Le Mans
Published June 9, 2010
Ah, it is that time of year again, the race we have all been waiting for. None of that silly Superleague stuff, we’re talking 24 Heures du Mans.
We are hoping to live comment lots of the action over on Sidepodcast, and there will be threads popping up throughout the next few days so that we can keep an eye on everybody’s favourite Frenchman. (And probably a few other people as well.)
The official Franck site has an update on our man and how he is preparing for the race:
Franck arrived in Le Mans last Sunday to fulfil the administration procedure as well as the scrutineering. He spent the beginning of the week with his team mates in a hotel slightly further from the track to enjoy some time off and worked on its preparation with some bicycling as well as some fitness exercises. But now Franck is ready, probably more than ever, and he wants to fight for the win!
No broken legs this time, although I have not heard anything about his poor ribs recently. Even so, FKM is a determined chap, he’d do the whole race by himself if he could.
After the events of Superleague in Magny-Cours, our enemy must be the one and only Bourdais - taking up a seat in the sister Peugeot.
There’s an excellent schedule available on the Le Mans site, if you want to keep track of what’s happening when. I hope you’ll join us over on Sidepodcast if you can, and I will report back here with more Franck news soon!
