Declutter
Published September 28, 2009
I stumbled across Chris Evans’ blog last week, and the first thing I saw was a very cluttered desk. The DJ himself was very kind and offered to help the desk owner tidy things up, and the results can be seen here.
This reminds me of the time Mr C and I first had a heated debate about the amount of clutter on my desk. It was a few years ago, and looking at it now, I can’t really understand how I functioned in such a state of disarray.
Apologies for the small picture. All that stuff and no room for elbows.
We took a quick trip to Ikea, and I say quick but you know that shop sucks you in for hours. A few bin bags later, and we had this:
The good news is that this decluttered ethos has rubbed off on me a little, although sometimes I do struggle. There’s no way I can keep my desk looking like the one above, but it does resemble the one that Chris Evans tidied up.
The other good news is that we are moving house very shortly, and that is always a good excuse to throw lots and lots of junk away.
