Thoughts

Really liked this album from Katy, and I’m so impressed that she’s managed to have a baby at exactly the same time as an album comes out. I do think the album starts better than it ends. At first, we’re all about self-discovery, learning to love yourself, and dealing with the world around you.

Then by the time we get to Harleys in Hawaii, we’re in love and a bit sentimental about everything. I appreciate the sentiment of What Makes a Woman but it does feel like a poor person’s The Man.

Still, a really strong effort with a lot of catchy tunes and definitely one that has relisten value.
