Disney presents a heartwarming comedy-adventure set in the modern mammal metropolis of Zootropolis. With habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with fast-talking scam-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery.

Conclusions

I’ve been looking forward to this since I saw the first trailer, and at last, it arrived. I loved it just as much as I thought I would, it’s the perfect mix of cute and funny, as well as telling a serious tale with genuine feelings.

I actually thought some elements of it were a bit much for a kids film, but that’s what parents are for, isn’t it, to decide on that kind of thing. As an adult, I thought it was perfectly pitched, and really, truly, hilarious in places.

Plus, it was so quotable, particularly at the beginning, with a great message about inclusion and steering clear of prejudice. Highly recommended, and I’ll be watching it again, if only for the dancing sloths.
