Bob Parr (A.K.A. Mr. Incredible), and his wife Helen (A.K.A. Elastigirl), are the world's greatest famous crime-fighting superheroes in Metroville. Always saving lives and battling evil on a daily basis. But fifteen years later, they have been forced to adopt civilian identities and retreat to the suburbs where they have no choice but to retire as superheroes to live a normal life with their three children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack (who were secretly born with superpowers). Itching to get back into action, Bob gets his chance when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top secret assignment. He soon discovers that it will take a super family effort to rescue the world from total destruction.

Thoughts
Woohoo, another Pixar film! I’ve seen this only once before and I remember it having a bit of a slow start, but as ever, I could barely remember the storyline. It was brilliant as per usual. I feel like this isn’t one I could watch over and over again, as I could iwth some of the other Pixar greats but no one could argue that this wasn’t up to the usual high standard. I’m pretty sure the suit designer needs a spin off of her own.
Revisited - November 2018
In preparation for watching The Incredibles 2, I realised I had to watch this one again. I had zero recollection of what had happened in the first movie, and as my initial summary says, this wasn’t a Pixar movie that I felt had rewatchable qualities.
I still think that. To be honest, I just don’t know what all the fuss is about. It’s good, and entertaining enough, and Edna is still one of the best things in it. The concept is intriguing, but is the world of superheroes one we need more of at the moment?
I’m interested to see what the sequel holds in store but if there wasn’t one, I don’t think I would be sad about it. There are other Pixars that are more worthy of our time, in my opinion.
