Conclusions
Very interesting film, this one. It’s a dark comedy, along the lines of Game Night - a bit of a twist on the normal comedy format with some moments where you’re genuinely shocked. It’s a fascinating idea, this true story, games lingering on into adulthood when they really should have stopped, and how they affect the lives.
Great cast, and Isla Fisher was incredible at being terrifying in her eagerness. I also liked Jeremy Renner’s efforts, particularly when he was being all ninja.
Despite the twists and turns throughout, and the sobering ending, it somehow ended up being an inspiring and uplifting finale. The scene of them running around the hospital, all getting involved and just having fun despite whatever was happening in real life.
