Time Comment
1:34 SUCH a tune to start a movie with. SO GOOD.
2:55 “I just get really happy when they finally let her shop.”
3:38 “Don’t you love how we can say that to each other and we’re not being conceited?” “I know, we’re just being honest.”
7:43 I don’t know why I like this so much because the idea of reunions is horrific to me.
14:21 Deludanoid is an excellent word!
18:10 They ARE nice outfits though, the bitches make no sense.
24:55 Imagine being the person who brought Time After Time into the world.
27:02 “What’s the point of going if we’re not going to impress people?” Exactly why reunions suck.
35:59 Since when do they have a cat?
40:15 The Footloose bit, yay!
44:08 This soundtrack is INSANE.
44:56 I do envy their headscarf game.

1:01:26 I’m the Mary!
1:03:31 “Michele and I just fell out of touch like two hours ago.”
1:05:25 “God, three kids, you must feel really tied down.” Romy!! You speak the truth!
1:12:34 “Until you told me our lives weren’t good enough…” Break my heart.
1:14:12 “You’re a bad person with an ugly heart and we don’t give a flying fuck what you think.”
1:14:49 I love Lisa!
1:19:14 Crazy cute Alan Cumming trying not to be Scottish.

Thoughts

How have I not done this film yet? It’s genuinely one of my favourite films of all time, I’ve seen it over and over and could probably watch it every day for the rest of my life.

It’s short and sweet, with a banging soundtrack. A glimpse into the lives of two super optimistic friends, who have a great outlook on life, and go to their reunion to learn a few lessons and to teach us viewers a thing or two.

It’s completely crackers, of course, I won’t pretend otherwise, but the movie has a good heart, is bright and colourful, sounds brilliant, and sweeps you along to a happy conclusion. What’s not to like?
