Conclusions
Mr C wanted to watch this one because it was available to rent at the same time as it was in the cinema, and he’s keen to encourage such behaviour. I wanted to watch it because it’s got Hannah from Hollyoaks in it.
It was a good film, based on a true story apparently, and it felt like an extended version of Hustle. It didn’t quite have the polished finish you might hope for, and some of the fight scenes looked very odd to my untrained eye. But the young stars were very good, Will Poulter in particular. Although it must be said from the variety of bikini’s Emma Rigby sported, I don’t think she was hired for her acting ability.
I didn’t quite understand why the mafia boss at the beginning was quite so heavy-handed with them, his punishment didn’t really seem to fit the crime at all, but once that was out the way, it was just a good heist film to enjoy.
