When struggling, maverick publisher Tom Duval (Stanley Weber) discovers his only successful author, Jane Lockhart (Karen Gillan), has writer’s block, he knows he has to unblock her or he’s finished. But with her newfound success, she’s become too damn happy to write. The only trouble is, the worse he tries to make her feel, the more he realises he is in love with her. Early release on iTunes.

Conclusions
We had low expectations coming into this one, having watched a dull film beforehand, and it being quite such an indy low-budget option. However, it was far better than I would have expected and entertained throughout.
Some of the plot points felt a bit off: for example, the changing of the title of the book, whilst something that a ruthless publisher might do, didn’t seem like something he in particular would do. Also, the reconciliation with the father felt just a little superficial if the history hinted at is true.
Having said that, I loved Karen’s character - bruised, sensitive, but brave. The story of struggling to beat writer’s block was good, and the twist ending was kinda fun. And Fitz, god how I love Iain De Caestecker. So on balance, a good film, not perfect, but fun.
