2:25 How is it that I didn’t know this was based on a Marvel comic?
5:28 “Don’t ‘Sir’ me, you have no idea who you’re dealing with.”
9:32 There are never that many stars visible in the sky.
11:58 Why does Will Smith have an orange jumpsuit on, because that makes him look like a prisoner?
16:14 I forgot how much I love the “sugar, in wat-er” line.
20:13 I wonder if he has nine heads, like a cat has lives.
24:11 Oh, I hate them tricksy lifts that open up a different door to the one that closed.
29:06 “Congratulations, you’re everything we’ve come to expect from years of government training.” That is not a compliment.
33:46 What is he wearing? I suppose it is the 90s, and it is Will Smith.
39:34 If they are all called by single letters, they can only ever have 26 employees!
46:11 I did used to like having a good laugh at the National Enquirer.
57:23 “Have you ever flashy thinged me?”
59:17 Mr C would like a 37 hour day.
1:07:01 Pug!
1:15:09 It’s handy being on an island of sorts.
1:22:42 It ate their guns!
1:28:42 Aww, I forgot this was how it ended.

Conclusions

I’ve seen this many times, and I love it. It’s one of those films that reminds me of a particular time in my life, perhaps of a person, perhaps of learning all the lines and repeating them constantly, I’m sure you know the kind of thing. Meanwhile, Mr C said he hadn’t seen it at all! So, I had to right this wrong, except it took ages for the film to be available on iTunes in HD. Finally, it was there, and it was time to be watched.

I’d forgotten how short the film is, and also how very gungy it is. There’s goo and all sorts flying in all directions almost all of the times. Nevertheless, the history I have with it, and all the lines I know and love make it a proper favourite of mine - although perhaps a little less than I’d held it in my mind. I do so love Will Smith though, I practically cheered when he arrived on screen.
