2:03 Slo-mo snowboarding is the best.
3:18 Vice-President of Atmosphere. That means there’s a President of Atmosphere!
8:50 “Basically you’re a salesman.” Some truth to that, for sure.
16:07 Tad is a proper bell-end in so many ways.
22:02 She said ‘my name is’ three times, and I think that means Slim Shady will pop up.
30:30 That photo was clearly taken yesterday, he’s got the same beard and everything.
40:00 Lady’s baring her soul to a horse right now.
43:41 Sorry Jake, but I also want the bells and whistles.
54:19 Is there anything this guy can’t do?
1:04:22 He said ’the other day’ and he translated that to ‘four days ago’.
1:09:56 They all got stuck behind the snow plough! Adorable!
1:12:54 He doesn’t charge for ski lessons and gives rooms away… no wonder he’s going out of business.
1:19:36 Dude’s already had one miracle, now he wants another one!
1:20:31 “Excited doesn’t come close to describing how I feel.” GREAT answer.
1:29:34 Memory jokes.

There’s nothing new about this movie at all - it is that same old Christmas story told over and over. High powered city girl ends up in the cosy Christmas village and falls in love, fixes everything, etc, etc. It had so many elements of other films with the most obvious comparison to Overboard, but it held its own and wasn’t entirely predictable. It’s probably the best new Christmas film we’ve had for a while (sorry Hudgens).

It had some flaws - the photo thing was hilarious, I’m not totally convinced she wouldn’t have been recognised at some point, and I really do need more information about the business plan for the lodge. But none of those things were enough to overshadow what is a cheesy, wonderful, snuggly warm and utterly ridiculous Christmas rom-com. I can see us rewatching this one in Christmasses to come and that’s the biggest compliment it can have.
