1:06 Ooh, is she writing a crossword? I’ve always wanted to do that, not smart enough.
4:29 “Just enjoy being normal.” What is normal anyways?
7:37 Wouldn’t much fancy talking to a class about my job.
19:48 Imagine if he really did turn up for your blind date. Dies!
13:54 Ahh, seat belts.
16:29 More Twinkie references.
17:32 Solvable. Entertaining. Sparkly.
23:24 I like her shower/bath hat thing.
27:36 She’s taking that umbrella everywhere.
30:54 “I figure if you miss a bus, maybe you weren’t meant to take it.”
36:35 Can’t decide if recognisable boots are a good or bad thing!
41:53 They’re editing in Final Cut, yay.
49:48 Damn, I was enjoying the three newscasters, they should have a spinoff.
54:57 Never say about a storm “how bad can it be?”
1:04:31 “She’s just a smart girl with red boots.”
1:05:39 Perseverance. I could learn a lot.
1:09:30 I mean it was so obvious and still funny.
1:10:45 Hello up there, I seem to have fallen down a cliff.
1:15:12 Yes! Even down a hole, she’s a grammar pedant.
1:29:04 Gotta be camera ready.
1:32:57 He made her into an apple!

Conclusions

Tricky one this. You can’t really argue with Sandy and Bradders being in a film together, and I liked the overall message - never worry about being different, find your own normal. That’s always a good thing to hear.

However, I can sort of understand why this film was panned by critics, and saw Sandy pick up a Razzie for her performance. Mary does come across as a slightly crazy stalker, which makes it hard to totally sympathise with her efforts. And I sort of wished there was more of a resolution between her and Steve - in the end, he only softened towards her because she fell down a hole, rather than for anything she actually did.

But it was a nice gentle watch, definitely funny in places, and hey, you’re not going to forget those boots in a while.
