Conclusions
Well, yea, this one wasn’t as good as the first one. We watched them back-to-back on Christmas Day, and that probably didn’t help because we liked the first one so much (rubbish but great!) that the second one just didn’t live up to its predecessor.
The story wasn’t as strong, and the characters were all acting completely different. Richard didn’t seem to care about her at all, the dad was not only a different actor but a completely revised character and a bit of an ass in places, and the scary woman lacked any kind of sympathy at all.
It was entertaining enough, I guess, but it just didn’t add anything useful to the over-arching Aldovia story.
