At first, I wasn’t convinced I would like this book but as with all good thrillers, it drew me in until I couldn’t stop reading. The main protagonist is your standard troubled cop but this time, he’s convinced about who is guilty even though no one else is.

Without spoiling anything, there are plenty of twists and turns and the viewpoints from all the characters really adds something.

However, I wasn’t prepared for just how sad the book would leave me feeling. The resolution is satisfactory but not exactly what you’d call a happy ending. For a book to move you in any way is good but I just wish it hadn’t had to be quite so bleak!
