Thoughts

Having accidentally read the second book in this series before the first, I was keen to see where it all began. It only took a few minutes for the characters to come flooding back, although the situation was quite different in this first outing. Naturally, they are coming together, getting to know each other, having their first adventure, and it’s fascinating to see how it began.

It’s a good story, I quite enjoy the lawyer/crime novel, just like John Grisham, and Sasha is quite the inspiring heroine. I did think she was a bit more flawed in the second book, which I liked, whereas in the first, she beat up quite a few people!

Solid characters, good story, and some nice twists, just a few little proofing errors here and there but otherwise fabulous stuff.
