Q4 movies - The super in Superman

I’m a bit out of the loop on movies at the moment, we’ve not been doing very well on the film front as TV and particularly nostalgic stuff has taken more of a front-seat. But from the looks of things, there’s not that much going on at the moment anyway. November has a few options to choose from but October and December are looking very light.

October

  • Woman of the Hour Anna Kendrick makes her directorial debut, which I didn’t realise was something she wanted to do. Amazing. This looks a bit scary, and is yet another entry in the true crime genre but worth a look.

November

  • Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story This looks so emotional, I can’t wait to watch it.
  • Red One Christmas comes early, but this looks SO BAD. It’s a must watch because Christmas, but oof, how can such a great cast be in something so bizarre?
  • Paddington in Peru The bear returns, adorable.
  • Wicked So intrigued by this musical adaptation.
  • Moana 2 Tell myself I don’t really like Moana, but it popped up on TV recently and I ended up watching most of it and enjoying it! Curious about what the sequel holds in store.

December

  • Sonic the Hedgehog 3 If we must?

Hopefully there will be some more Christmas movies coming along, it’s always a favourite time of year for watching mushy nonsense. We may have passed peak Netflix Christmas Universe style films but I think the genre still has more to give!
