It feels like the blockbusters have been on the low side recently, but the next few months have quite a few famous names and faces back on the big screen. We’ve drifted from keeping up with the immediate and more expensive releases, but am really enjoying digging out hidden gems and older classics. However, may have to make an exception for some of these!

July

• The Garfield Movie I don’t mind a bit of Garfield, he hates Mondays and likes lasagne so I can relate to that. But this movie does not look good, does it?
• Twisters Glen Powell is having an absolutely ball at the moment, and although this is a remake no one really asked for or wanted, it doesn’t look that bad?

• Deadpool & Wolverine I mean, it’s a must watch, no question or discussion required.

August

• The Instigators Some of the Ocean’s Eleven cast reunite for another heist film, I’m on board.
• Borderlands This strikes me a bit like Fallout, the recent TV adaptation - I don’t know anything about the game but it looks fun and crazy and with a cast worth a look.

September

• Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Again, this is another property I don’t know too much about, so may have to watch the original first, but it seems right up Jenna Ortega’s street.
• Wolfs The other half of Ocean’s Eleven go face to face in a love/hate adventure that I am absolutely here for.

Still plenty to look forward to as the year enters it’s second half.
