Under the weather
Published January 12, 2011
I haven’t had a proper cold for a long time, well over a year. The occasional sore throat descends upon me, and I always prepare for the worst, but then it just goes away. I don’t know whether that means I have a better constitution than I used to, or if I am just lucky enough to have already had all the germs that have been circulating recently, and therefore gained some useful antibodies.
Either way, that all ends now because I had a sore throat for a week, and this time it has turned into the full blown cold (pun intended).
I don’t mind being ill so much, because I always think no matter how bad I feel, it can never be as bad as those two weeks post-Silverstone. If you know the story, you know Honda tried to kill me. If you don’t, all you need to know is that they told me sleeping in one of these was good for the environment, but they didn’t mention it was detrimental to my health.
So I have some serious sniffles and a cough, and that’s okay because it could be much worse. Still, I’m typing this from the comfort of my bed, via the genius of the Wordpress iPad app, pondering whether to get up and watch TV or stay here and play the Sims 3 iPhone version.
It’s a tough life.
