Even better than the real thing

Even better than the real thing

U2 were due to perform a week-long guest slot on Jimmy Fallon’s nightly chat show but of course Bono went and fell off a bike and broke himself. (BTW, why do people keep cycling when all I ever here from cyclists is tales of woe?) So, rather than drafting in someone less good, last minute, Jimmy upped the stakes and decided to become Bono himself. Video no longer available. It’s so good, he’s really amazing.

To sing with you is the craziest thing

To sing with you is the craziest thing

It wasn’t long ago I was waxing lyrical about how great Jimmy Fallon’s skit with Paul Rudd was - the pair of them taking on a lip sync battle with amusing results. Now, the Tonight Show host is back again with another classic. This time, he’s roped in Billy Joel for a spot of crooning. I love the use of the looping app in this, and how great they both are.

So I try a little Freddie

So I try a little Freddie

A great video of the lovely Paul Rudd is doing the rounds today, as the actor faces off against talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in a lip sync battle. I love this for three reasons. First: Paul Rudd. Second: Queen. Third: Lip sync battle sounds like a fab game! And while I’m indulging in a bit of Paul Rudd, I saw this other video a while back, in which Rudd essentially Rickrolls Conan O’Brien with clips from his movie.

It's not unusual

It's not unusual

When Will Smith appeared on Graham Norton last time, he did the rap from Fresh Prince and it was brilliant. This time, he goes a step further. At first, it’s like… yea, he’s rapping with his kid, that’s cute. Then he does the Fresh Prince bit again. And then, it gets magical. I almost welled up, it was so good.

Everybody knows the theme tune

Everybody knows the theme tune

I don’t watch the Graham Norton show. I don’t mind him in small doses but a whole show would be pushing it. However, I saw this clip with Will Smith and Gary Barlow, and loved it! Everyone knows the words to the theme tune, it’s just one of those cultural things. I particularly love Gary’s input to the rendition though.

Sloth, not so much a deadly sin

Sloth, not so much a deadly sin

Earlier this week, I caught sight of this amusing video featuring Kristen Bell on the Ellen DeGeneres show. I’m only vaguely aware of who Kristen is, but she’s telling a cute story about her boyfriend introducing her to a sloth, and how she flipped out over it. At first, I raised a judgemental eyebrow, but then I considered what would happen if a panda came to my house. Then I was right there with her.
