Two disappointments from Electronic Arts

Firstly, the Sims Nightlife is not as good as I thought it was going to be. It’s alright, adds a little bit of colour to the game, and it’s always nice to get new wallpapers and clothes etc, but it’s a half-hearted attempt at an expansion pack. The only thing that makes it worth the money is that the Sims now get to own cars, the rest of it I could live without.

Things that cheer me up #10

Seeing that there is fantabulous progress on the new Tomb Raider game. I’m a bit annoyed that they’re not carrying on from the previous one, and I’m a bit stunned at how much Lara has changed. I’m all for making the graphics better and making her look more realistic, but you’d think she still needs the same basic bone structure. I’m starting to wonder if this isn’t actually an imposter - Louise Croft or something like that.

Let me be your fantasy

Oh my god, just four days left to the first Grand Prix weekend!!! How excited?? To celebrate, I thought I would join in the fun (and make it extra exciting in case Schumacher decides to dominate again) by participating in a Fantasy F1 competition. You pick the elements, driver, tyres, etc, and score points depending on how well they do. But all the ones I looked at just weren’t quite right for me, so instead, I decided to make my own.

The weekend

The weekend

Friday was an okay day at work. Saturday, I read a lot of The Economist. Sunday, I discovered all the groovy games at the BBC, which I have much fun playing and more importantly, they work on the Mac. But I don’t want to go on about the BBC too much because they lost all my Celebdaq shares just because I forgot my password and needed a new one. Not fair, I was doing really well!
