Wahey, it’s been a while since I listened to some good country music and that’s exactly what this is - good, solid, modern country pop stacked with guitars and whiskey and broken hearts and wayward lovers. The stand out track is clearly the Miranda Lambert enhanced Drowns the Whiskey, and whilst the rest of it may not stand out on its own, as a whole, it’s a really good listen for country music fans.

I loved it! For a while it confused me how to place the genre of the album, it’s sort of like Enya and that folksy, ephereal style but with a bit more grounded pop underpinning it. Some of the songs stuck in my mind for ages after listening which is a good sign!

Overall, I thought this was a good album - you can rely on Keith to make a good guitar-focused country song, and there are some really top notch moments scattered throughout the album. However, I wasn’t a huge fan of the intro tracks, they didn’t really seem to add anything.

Loved this album! There weren’t too many brand new choices out, so I looked back to last year to see something I might have missed and was flabbergasted to realise I hadn’t listened to Janelle Monáe! Make Me Feel is obviously an absolute Prince-style classic, but the entire album lives up to the hype.

This album is a complete surprise. Firstly, I didn’t even know it had been released last year, it totally passed me by. Luckily the deluxe version was promoted and so I was keen to have a listen. It was really good! Nothing superbly outstanding but just a full album of great Gabrielle tunes. She has a wonderful voice and it’s all just very listenable.
