It's Not Me, It's You by Lily Allen

After Lily’s surprise appearance at Glastonbury, quite literally sticking her fingers up at the patriarchy, I had to listen to another of her albums - and luck would have it, I still had to listen to the one that features that song. This is a great album and really features Lily’s lyrical strength - you can’t not listen once she starts singing, you need to know where she’s going next. And some of the songs really get stuck in your head, which is a sign of a catchy number. Top work.

Pretty. Odd. by Panic! At the Disco

I tend to enjoy Panic! At the Disco music but this album doesn’t work for me at all. There are a handful of good songs in there but what really annoyed me was the variety. It’s like they took a million different music ideas and threw them into an album - different instruments, different styles, every single song was nothing like what had gone before.

Jonas Brothers by Jonas Brothers

Having watched the very young Jonas Brothers in the movie Camp Rock, it seemed only right to hear what their debut album was all about. It was quite good, actually, just some pure pop. It actually put me in mind of Busted - I feel like Jonas are the band that Busted want to be, truly American, with the guitars and jumping around and pop-ness.
