Troublegum by Therapy?

The first track of this album almost immediately put me off as it was just a lot of screaming. But then once that was out the way, it was better… some pretty standard 90s hard rock. I don’t know that it’s an album that will live with me or I will particularly remember in future but it was fine to listen to and was an energetic start to the year!

Age Ain't Nothing But a Number by Aaliyah

Aaliyah’s music hasn’t been available on streaming before, so as soon as it was I wanted to grab the opportunity to listen. I know a few of her songs, but none from this album, so starting from the beginning was a bit of an education. She has a wonderful voice and the 90s R&B is right up my street. The R Kelly influence is a bit uncomfortable, but that’s not Aaliyah’s fault. Can’t wait to get to the next one.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis

Some nice classic Oasis here, this was their debut album. I’ve already consumed (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, and obviously this one doesn’t live quite up to the heights of that. But what I like about this is you can feel all the potential in there. Songs that hit the spot and some that don’t but you just know these guys are gonna hit some heights.
