1:02 Literally every time I watch these animations, I’m looking at the water. That rain looks REAL.
6:07 Yay! The song! You just remember what your old pal said, you’ve got a friend in me.
8:20 WHAT is the cute tinkly bear on the door? I need one.
9:17 “You made a house, you lived in it.”
14:31 “I finished kindergarten!” Oh kid, if you only knew.
16:27 “Um, Woody, I have a question. Well actually, not just one. I have all the questions.”
22:31 It seems like a lot of effort to go to, when he’s obviously going to be jealous of the spork anyway.
27:47 Second Chance Antiques feels like a mean name for a shop.
29:01 The ventriloquist’s dummy seems entirely unnecessary.
33:13 WWWD? What would Woody do?
37:52 Polly Pocket!
38:50 Oh no! The toy that keeps being left hanging. My heart.
44:11 “In a galaxy far, far away… you got kicked in the head!”
52:52 The bunny and the duck are brilliant.
53:51 The best one is the plan that’s exactly the same as the other plan but with a different name.
55:26 “My friend? No, no, he’s my accessory.”
56:21 I forgot about Keanu!
1:06:10 Bo is some kind of epic, who knew?
1:16:06 They’ve also absolutely nailed hair that looks amazing but is clearly fake dolls hair… how have they done that?
1:23:24 No, you’re crying.

I just looked back through my reviews of the other Toy Story films, and the last two got five out of five scores… which is weird because I remember absolutely nothing about the second one, and the more distance I got from the third, the more I hated it.

But thankfully, this fourth entry in the franchise was brilliant and genuinely deserves the top score. It made up for my feelings on the last one.

Bo Peep was amazing, the story was engaging, the emotions were real. Fun and laughing and joking and cuteness and fluffy bunnies. The dummies were terrifying and I was a bit confused why some of the toys seemed to be able to get in and out of the cabinet at will whilst our heroes had to battle to get a key.

It very much felt like the end of the series that you’d hope for, although I can also see it being super successful and perhaps paving the way for a new breed of toys - kind of like how they’re setting up for the next batch of Avengers.

Top movie, although now I have to go back and rewatch the others to make sure I have it right in my head how they all unfolded. Well done Woody & co!
