3:08Nice catch up, and I actually remember the last one too! Bonus.
7:32Don’t you go damaging those books now, you two.
14:00He is ab-so-lutely ruthless.
20:16Oof, that was a rough old sequence. Bleurgh.
20:38Standard, John Wick can kill a man from a thousand paces but can’t hear a car coming to quite literally save his life.
23:42I feel like the horse would be scared of the gunshots.
27:33Jardani is a much more interesting name than John.
29:45“How can you escape from the light? Of course, you can go to the dark. But they are in the dark too.”
35:50Information super-fly-way.
41:59“I didn’t kill you, I just shot you.”
48:55Jeez, these ones have got proper stealth mode on.
51:28So that’s Robson and Jerome in a John Wick film.
57:07“I get it.” Of all people, he really does!
1:02:37Halle Berry is kicking some ass.
1:10:13“Never seen a man fight so hard to end up back where he started.”
1:13:24Surely it is not helpful to have an assassin without a finger… for no good reason.
1:23:33Well, we’ve never seen this part of the hotel before. Fancy.
1:33:21I just can’t see them getting out of this alive, but they’ve got to I suppose.
1:35:28Feel like he’s racing through his ammo very quickly.
1:38:06Love it, I want to be like Winston!
1:54:34A parlay usually means it’s not going very well.

Thoughts

Another good entry in the John Wick franchise, I hadn’t realised how much I’d been looking forward to it until it popped up available to watch. The violence at the beginning was… a bit much for me, if I’m honest. I don’t remember the others being quite so bad - I think because there was so much hand-to-hand and knife stuff. After Wick got his hands on some guns, it was a little better.

Some of this felt a bit unnecessary and weird - like the chopping off the finger thing, which quite apart from making Wick’s life harder, must have been a pain in the ass for the CGI people.

But, Halle Berry was incredible, fighting better than Keanu in places. And even though she was the bad guy, I loved how bad-ass the adjudicator was. Good film and room for more at the end too, hooray!
