For Marni (Bell), high school was a horror movie, and her brother's wedding is the sequel when her archrival comes back to haunt her as his bride. It's nice girl versus mean girl in this hysterical reunion with the one person Marni would really like to forget. And if that weren't enough, Marni's mom (Curtis) reunites with her own high school nemesis (Weaver).

3:34Aww, I love a mascot. Meanies.
4:48Literally no brother would ever say that to their little sister.
8:32Screamed out loud a little bit that The Rock just showed up. Wasn’t expecting that!
12:25What are they doing to that tomato?
14:13Nope, not eating food blindfolded.
17:15The sassy younger brother is excellent.
22:43“Yea, but I love chocolate. I love cheese, and I love clocks.”
25:55Cheerleading is too much energy.
30:55You can’t move the treehouse! Not unless the parents are moving.
37:59All these people not saying what they really think. Oof.
41:43Left-hand foot.
47:45Argh, she can’t go downstairs soaking wet!
50:48The running is hilarious.
53:00How are they going to make her put braces back on?
1:01:58I really love Charlie. Making the safe zone at the table.
1:08:31“TIM DOES!”
1:16:28Conflicted! I know what it is to be bullied, but oof, ruining a wedding is harsh.
1:24:44“I don’t pretend to have the slightest clue how things work in the girl world…”
1:34:56I don’t care how much you liked someone in high school… thirty or so years later? Not straight away like that.

We were in the mood for something a bit more lighthearted than the last effort and stumbled across this gem, that I had never heard of despite the sizeable cast of acting royalty.

It was really good! In the category of rom-com, although the rom is mostly happening to our protagonist’s brother, it tugged at a lot of feelings for me. I did not enjoy school either, kids are mean, so it was interesting to see what it might be like to be confronted with someone from your past like that.

It was good, it was funny, the cast were great, the little brother had most of the best lines, and Charlie was adorable. Top notch film which was exactly what we were looking for.
