1:29 Double bum shots this time.
3:28 I feel like a cape and a motorbike are a bad idea.
5:16 George needs to work on the gravitas of his “I’m Batman.”
6:05 Ooh, it’s like Crashed Ice!
10:35 “Watch the numbers Batman, they are the harbingers of your doom.”
16:33 The guy doesn’t even lock his lab, just puts keep out on the door.
20:43 WHHHYYY with the snakes. WHY?
26:55 I need some of those polar bear slippers, for suresies. It’s okay to take fashion tips from Mr Freeze, right?
30:12 She just stepped off the set of Clueless right? The socks and everything.
35:58 Who is this Julie woman and where did she come from?
39:19 “I hate when people talk during the movie.”
41:46 Wait, are they bidding on the women? Oh dear.
44:40 Sorry Ivy but no one is choosing Chris O’Donnell over George Clooney.
59:04 Boggled by all the neon in Gotham. This is one cray-cray city.
1:02:18 What the hell is Coolio doing in Gotham?
1:09:35 “Men, the most absurd of all creatures.”
1:21:25 If she’s dead though, does he have anything to carry on for?
1:22:57 “Adam and Evil.”
1:31:47 ALFRED! That’s the worst password ever. Just three letters? Come on man.
1:40:10 “Chicks like you give women a bad name.” You tell her, Alicia.
1:56:39 Even the medicine is neon in Gotham.
1:59:51 “We’re going to need a bigger cave.”

I can sort of see why this film killed the franchise, although in the end I kinda liked it. George Clooney is the worst of the three Batmen, he doesn’t have the right persona for it, and was outshone by Robin, which probably isn’t the way it should be.

I liked the women in the movie, Poison Ivy is an excellent foe, basically channelling Mother Nature who wants her revenge. Her backstory was good. And Alicia Silverstone kicked ass, which is always fun. Unfortunately, these upsides were offset by the endless misogyny and all that pheromone nonsense. Boo. Also, what on earth was Elle’s character about? She was just kinda there and then she just kinda wasn’t.

Meanwhile, Arnie was actually quite good - I guess it suits him to have a role with a good excuse to be frozen and a bit wooden. Nicely done. And, of course, the movie tried to put poor Alfred in danger, which isn’t exactly a plus point.

It was good, and fun in places, and I kept boggling at how insane the design of Gotham City has gotten. Entertaining but perhaps not their finest work.
