2:33“Everything I own, they shot it to pieces. My microwave…” Interesting priority to start the list.
6:20These people just have guns hanging around all over the place.
15:52There do seem to be an awful lot of people just milling about the various crime scenes.
18:19“Jurisdictional intrusion.” Mouthful.
25:29I don’t remember the last one having so many toys. Go Go Gadget Predator.
32:05How many specialities can you have, I wonder?
33:41Their elevators look like Big Bang Theory.
35:28I mean, there’s breaking into a crime scene and then there’s completely contaminating the entire route of the perp.
39:50This Pope guy is the J Jonah Jameson of LA.
47:59Invisible footsteps in the water is kinda freaky.
58:19Yea, he doesn’t dance.
1:03:07He solved the puzzle and then immediately drew his weapon. Weirdo.
1:08:53Cos capturing aliens to further our own scientific and technological means always ends well.
1:16:41This guy would be sooooo bad at stealth mode.
1:19:19The green blood makes it look like he’s been paintballing.
1:22:34I like that he’s not a huge hero. Brave, sure, but also running away screaming.
1:30:29The old lady with the broom is THE BEST.
1:37:26Oh. The CGI in the fog. Oh dear.

I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to this movie, what with it being a sequel (eek) to a very popular action movie. But hey, it was surprisingly good. Not as good as the first, but decent, amusing in places, tense in others. Good characters, an interesting story, and it got to that fabled point “how on earth are they going to get out of this one?”

Well, the answer is: terribly. The movie was going well, apart from the god-awful dubbing, up until the final moments. Then, Glover went crazy violent and really made a meal of finishing off the Predator. It was kinda disturbing. Also, the CG in the fog of the spaceship was terrible. In the same terrible way that Terminator had some dodgy moments that just take you out of the film. They didn’t even need the fog, it wasn’t necessary for the story and just made their lives harder.

And then the end, just kinda didn’t make sense. Where did those other Predators come from? Were they also on Earth? If so, why didn’t they need to keep going to the slaughterhouse to feed? If not, how did they get to where they are now and why did they need a spaceship to leave when they appeared to be able to appear and disappear at random? Too many questions.

A good film right up until the point when it wasn’t anymore.
