4:18Yay, the dog is still part of the story!
4:34“It’s not just a car, it’s John Wick’s car.”
8:23Loving his garage exit mid-air corner-turning drift.
11:11Wick gets hit by a car. DRINK.
14:14I really don’t think that’ll buff out.
19:50I feel like he’s being premature with the concrete.
25:41At least the dog has survived so far.

42:32I’m worried he’s going to run out of coins.
43:50If she’s just going to follow him round and be there the whole time, why couldn’t she just have done it?
57:35Dunno where this location is, but the lights are so pretty.
59:18The gun left exactly where he needed it, as though he knew exactly what was gonna happen. This guy is smart.
1:02:10DRINK!
1:20:44Is he calling the 1950s?
1:16:48The damage this guy can do with a pencil!
1:27:24Do they think this is funny? Because it’s not.
1:37:39Ooh, trippy hall of mirrors is blowing my mind a bit.
1:44:28I’m loving Lovejoy in this much more than the last one.
1:46:32All that shooting but in the end just one shot is so shocking.

Thoughts

These movies are so good because they’re like James Bond but without all the other crap that goes along with being Bond. Fun locations, spy games, lots of action and the occasional bit of humour. But no misogyny, no having to bother about the politics, and not a whole lot of talking really.

The whole car thing is quite annoying, though. He can see people coming behind walls when they make no sound, but apparently has some kind of blind spot when a massive car with lights on is revving towards him. STOP GETTING RUN OVER BY CARS.

Also, why is Morpheus in this movie? I like a good cameo but this was not one. It felt more like a lazy cameo. Like the film wasn’t interesting enough we had to bring out Morpheus? It just took me out of the movie, made me incredibly tense and I was listening for quotes and references the entire time. Not a fan of that.

But the rest of the movie, I loved. The stakes, the tension, the action, and the cinematography, all added up to a great sequel. And there’s a great setup for the third movie too.
