1:07Traversing overhangs makes no sense in my head, the physics of it. Same happens in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
3:06Oh, that’s the solution to climate change, just make a water park out of the ice.
5:10“Manny, don’t squash their creativity.”
8:37The armadillo is the Del Boy of the ice age.
12:46“Ah, go suck air through a reed.” Like that as a putdown.
15:33Ooh, I didn’t see that coming. Cryogenically frozen scary monsters.
20:16How could they not have noticed all the summer grass and flowers and stuff?
21:24“Well don’t that put the stink in extinction.”
25:22“I don’t think her tree goes all the way to the top branch.”
31:29The mammoth that thinks she’s a possum is a fun sub-plot.
39:10“She’s not half bad. Crazy and confused, but sweet.”
42:45Baby Ellie is adorbz.
43:06I sense a ‘can you feel the love tonight’ moment coming on.
48:56Why do the ice age creatures need a fire?
56:50The sloth has the same crowd power as Freddie Mercury.
59:56When did the vultures get to see Oliver?
1:09:06“I’ll save you!” Bash, bangs his head. Ha.
1:19:41The mammoth is cute when it waddle runs.

Conclusions

We were medium happy with the first Ice Age movie, and having scooped up the rest of the pack in a Blue Sky bundle, we figured it was worth watching the sequel. I think I liked it more than the first, a serious situation about climate change lends itself to an interesting and funny story - animals on the move, alongside being the last of your species (or not), and believing you’re one thing when it turns out you’re another.

Good film but I was mostly distracted by the fact that the water looked amazing whilst the animation of the ice could still use some work.
