Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don't shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone by their side. That's what makes this family so Incredible.

0:22 - Loving the Disney castle being incredibled. 1:48 - Literally picking up where the last movie left off, despite the huge time gap in release dates. 3:56 - “Consider yourself undermined!” Ha, clever. 8:40 - He sort of leaves a trail, that frozen guy. 11:38 - Mmm, spring rolls. 12:56 - “To respect the law.” “Even if laws are disrespectful?” 20:58 - I like a movie that addresses the aftermath of superheroes! 23:31 - “Do it so I can do it better.” Jesus, this guy. 26:22 - The house is EPIC. 31:23 - The hover train and electric bike don’t match with ye olde reporter’s cameras. 35:38 - Jack-Jack is adorable. 44:47 - What era is this in? 50:15 - I have some issues with the body shape of Elastigirl too. 1:02:23 - Demicals. 1:06:53 - “You need major life re-alignment on a number of levels.” 1:15:08 - Seventeen hours of sleep is delicious! 1:25:06 - No, not Lucius! Better not hurt him. 1:30:03 - Void’s powers are epic but boggle my mind juuuust a bit. 1:31:58 - Not accords, they always start lots of trouble. 1:36:53 - “Fight now, talk later.”

So, I re-watched the first Incredibles movie before this one because I couldn’t remember it at all. And I wasn’t super duper impressed so I don’t really know what the fuss is all about with this series. And I also don’t think that film needed a sequel but here we are.

This second movie was okay. It picks off right where the last one left off, and immediately you have to start to wonder what era we’re in. It has the fifties aesthetic but the technology is crazy futuristic. There’s some great feminism in the hero and villain both being women, but equally Mr Incredible was a total ass for almost the entire movie with a regressive and, more than anything, unsupportive attitude. She needs to ditch that guy.

And really, at this point, I just don’t think we need another superhero film. I feel like Pixar could be doing more useful things with their time. I’m just not on board, which is a shame because I know people love these movies.
