2:40 – Woah, lots of bad guy deal information in one go. There’s some money or something. 4:26 – Wait a minute, that guy from the Fast and Furious in a street racing scene? Can’t cope! 5:08 – “Look who’s bringing out the double points Scrabble words.” 11:23 – I love Grumpy Ice Cube. Imagine getting paid to be grumpy all day. 23:38 – “If linen is wrong, I don’t want to be right.” 26:09 – Olivia actual Munn. She is quite scary, but not as grumps as the Cube. 30:23 – One good reason to practice running, in case you end up in a “foot chase.” 31:20 – OMG, didn’t realise he was being the Po-lice until he just said it! 39:52 – I do love it when people say “one question” followed by a statement. Ha! 45:19 – Big Pinterest presence in this film. 56:39 – Brilliant car/game chase scene. 59:08 – “Oh my god, he a zombie.” 1:07:19 – Marcus the alligator. 1:25:17 – “Container yard, this is classic boss level.”
Couldn’t quite remember the first one initially, but it all soon came flooding back when Kevin Hart and Ice Cube started their bickering. I have, since the first film, realised I love Ice Cube so him and his grumpy antics throughout the film were very entertaining.
It was almost a carbon copy of the first film and not only that, but it had a lot of elements of 21 & 22 Jump Street in there. I’m not sure whether that’s because the Jump Street series satirises the detective genre so well, or because it’s two police dudes being hilarious with Ice Cube involved.
Very funny in places, with a good few quotables along the way, and it was fascinating to see Olivia Munn acting again, having previously witnessed her presenting Attack of the Show.
