4:00Why is that kid really badly overdubbed? Did he have a rubbish voice?
5:00Hey, that’s Bear!
7:00Why does he have to pay for the car out of his own pocket? I guess because he’s not really the driver.
8:00His car is a bit pink.
8:00This may be the worst post-race interview ever but at least he didn’t use the Formula 1 staple “for sure.”
12:00He met a girl and now she is everywhere. Typical.
21:00I can’t take this guy seriously. He is always the guy from Ally McBeal to me.
25:00Not a fan of the ridiculous French accent.
27:00Actual F1 footage!? How on earth did they get the rights for that?
37:00Suddenly his broken arm is better?
41:00I wonder if Bear’s NASCAR skills will be handy in space.
49:00How is she marrying him as well then? He was only gone three hours!
55:00I do like the little child’s accent.
58:00I think I have an affinity with the little one. I say “I don’t even know what it means but I love it!” a lot.
1:03:00Lucky Charms. I’m so jealous.
1:21:00A nacho fountain? Why am I so obsessed with cascading food at the moment?
1:29:00I don’t understand what this slingshot business is. (Was told off for not paying attention to Days of Thunder. Will add it to the list.)
1:33:00I feel like Sacha Baron Cohen could actually run faster.
1:41:00I LOVE post film outtakes.

I am very late in posting these Film Watch notes, because I wasn’t sure whether to do it or not. Over on, we all watched the movie together, and live commented it. I’ve picked out my thoughts, but there are bound to be less than normal. I also only know the minutes, rather than the exact timings.

I really enjoyed this film, despite its obvious flaws and that really awful supposedly French accent. There were laugh out loud moments which make up for some of the bad points, and it was a good story with a happy ending. What’s not to like?
