4:00 Why is that kid really badly overdubbed? Did he have a rubbish voice?
5:00 Hey, that’s Bear!
7:00 Why does he have to pay for the car out of his own pocket? I guess because he’s not really the driver.
8:00 His car is a bit pink.
8:00 This may be the worst post-race interview ever but at least he didn’t use the Formula 1 staple “for sure.”
12:00 He met a girl and now she is everywhere. Typical.
21:00 I can’t take this guy seriously. He is always the guy from Ally McBeal to me.
25:00 Not a fan of the ridiculous French accent.
27:00 Actual F1 footage!? How on earth did they get the rights for that?
37:00 Suddenly his broken arm is better?
41:00 I wonder if Bear’s NASCAR skills will be handy in space.
45:00 26mph!!
49:00 How is she marrying him as well then? He was only gone three hours!
55:00 I do like the little child’s accent.
58:00 I think I have an affinity with the little one. I say “I don’t even know what it means but I love it!” a lot.
1:03:00 Lucky Charms. I’m so jealous.
1:21:00 A nacho fountain? Why am I so obsessed with cascading food at the moment?
1:29:00 I don’t understand what this slingshot business is. (Was told off for not paying attention to Days of Thunder. Will add it to the list.)
1:33:00 I feel like Sacha Baron Cohen could actually run faster.
1:41:00 I LOVE post film outtakes.

I am very late in posting these Film Watch notes, because I wasn’t sure whether to do it or not. Over on, we all watched the movie together, and live commented it. I’ve picked out my thoughts, but there are bound to be less than normal. I also only know the minutes, rather than the exact timings.

I really enjoyed this film, despite its obvious flaws and that really awful supposedly French accent. There were laugh out loud moments which make up for some of the bad points, and it was a good story with a happy ending. What’s not to like?
