1:49 100% Cotton is a genius name.
4:03 Probably should have called the police before driving off like a maniac.
9:27 Gutting to have survived two movies and then that!
11:24 Oh Gale, can we go back to the streaks?
18:56 Did she just do a Chandler? “Could I BE more popular?”
26:40 How is he doing all the voices? You can’t do that kind of thing now!
37:27 I get why she’d want to work at home, but the crisis counselling thing seems like an odd choice.
38:27 “You’re drunk.” “I’m coping.”
44:28 Oh nothing ages a movie so much as a fax machine.
45:54 It’s gone a bit Final Destination. Keep to the stabbing, please.
53:46 Randy’s back! Bit shoehorned in, but we’ll take it.
58:13 Carrie the incredible Fisher pretending not to be Carrie Fisher is making my head fizz.
1:02:44 A movie set of your house must be so weird.
1:12:34 “In the third one, all bets are off.”
1:22:14 Surely they know not to trust any voices by now.
1:33:32 Not that it’s over, but her double gun trick was neat.
1:45:45 Just one killer this time.

Woohoo, finally completed the trilogy having only ever previously seen the first two Scream movies. I don’t think this one is as good as the first two and it’s certainly stretching the format a bit, but it’s still very entertaining. More of a mystery thriller than a horror, I’d say, as the scares are few and far between, and the comedy is ratcheted right up. I quite enjoyed watching the two Gales running around together.

I was thinking maybe 3 out of 5, Mr C was hovering around a 4, but then Carrie Fisher arrived and blew the whole thing up a notch by being fabulous.

The themes are interesting from a Weinstein produced movie, but overall the story comes to a good conclusion, that would be a satisfying end to a trilogy if we didn’t know there are at least two more in the franchise. My only real complaint was how painfully inserted the Randy cameo was, but it was so good to see him and his rules that it’s hard to stay mad at it.
